The night temperature in Bhopal was above 15 degrees mark on Thursday, an indication of hot days ahead while the day temperature also hovered at 35 degrees mark in the city and a majority of other places. The day, as well as night temperature, remained more than normal in Bhopal and other parts of the state. 

Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle, said in absence of a system or moisture incursion, dry weather would prevail in the state. The temperature may rise further till a system hits the state, which is likely early next month, the officials added.

Day temperature in Bhopal on Thursday was recorded at 34.7 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees more than normal, while night temperature in the city was 15.5 degrees Celsius, a degree more than the normal mark. The wind direction in the city was westerly while the average wind speed was 18 km per hour.

The state’s lowest minimum temperature in the plains was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius in Rewa and Malanjkhand. Hill station Pachmarhi recorded the minimum temperature at 9 degrees Celsius.

In the forecast for Bhopal on Friday, the meteorological officials said there would be a clear sky and dry weather will prevail in the city. Day and night temperature would be respectively at 34 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius while the average wind speed will be 12 kmph.

In the forecast for the state, Met officials said dry weather would prevail in the state and there would be no major change from the existing weather conditions. No weather warning was issued for anywhere in the state.
