Gandhi Nagar Police arrests 2 for black marketing of Remdesivir, recover 2 injections

Gandhi Nagar police has arrested two persons involved in black marketing of Remdesivir injection and recovered two injections on Thursday; accused were nabbed while they were trying to sell injection at hefty price at Mahatma Gandhi Chouraha. Acting on a tip off regarding two youths carrying Remdesivir injection and when they were detained two Remdesivir injections were found from their possession. The two tried to sell Remdesivir injection in the range of Rs 10000 to Rs 15000 which was having a mrp of Rs 3400. Arrested accused Srajan runs a medical store in Chola Mandir area while his aide Gaurav Lodhi used to work as medical representative. Gaurav do not have any degree or education related to work and still work for medicine supply.

The two tried to sell Remdesivir injection in the range of Rs 10000 to Rs 15000 which was having a mrp of Rs 3400. The nabbed accused were identified as Srajan Singh Rajput and Gaurav Lodhi. Arrested accused Srajan runs a medical store in Chola Mandir area while his aide Gaurav Lodhi used to work as medical representative. Gaurav do not have any degree or education related to work and still work for medicine supply. The two became acquainted as Lodhi used to supply medicine to Srajan and recently after the acute shortage of Remdesivir surfaced the two teamed to earn fast money. In the past the number of injection they have sold is not clear and would be investigated during further investigation. After the initial investigation police have registered a case under sections 53 and 57 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, sections 5 and 13 MP Drug Control Act, Section 3 Epidemic Act, sections 3 and 7 of the Essential Commodities Act and 5 and 13 of Madhya Pradesh Drugs control Act.
