ABVHU holds talk to observe Int’l Yoga Day

Observing the International Yoga Day on Tuesday, a talk on Importance of Mental Health and Psychological Counselling in the Present Scenario at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University. A free online Yoga Camp is being organised by the Department of Yoga and Human Consciousness. Be it invisible or visible, be it positive problems or negative spiritual problems, all these arise due to our attachment. Being mentally, emotionally, socially healthy, being happy is the definition of mental health, only then we are able to make a constructive and active contribution to our society. Therefore, World Mental Health Day is celebrated to spread awareness.

Observing the International Yoga Day on Tuesday, a talk on Importance of Mental Health and Psychological Counselling in the Present Scenario at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University. A free online Yoga Camp is being organised by the Department of Yoga and Human Consciousness. Gayatri Singh, Barkatullah University Bhopal was the keynote speaker. Pro. Bhardwaj while explaining the essence of the subject, said that the root cause of all the problems of the world to the mind. Because greed is born from the mind, it drives us to invite all problems. Be it invisible or visible, be it positive problems or negative spiritual problems, all these arise due to our attachment. The keynote speaker of today's session, Gayatri Singh said that, according to WHO, that state of efficient living is in which a person recognizes his potential and is able to face the normal stress that comes in life and is able to contribute towards society. Being mentally, emotionally, socially healthy, being happy is the definition of mental health, only then we are able to make a constructive and active contribution to our society. Singh said that 19% youth, 46% adolescents and 13% children suffer from this disease. The reason for this is the lack of awareness. Therefore, World Mental Health Day is celebrated to spread awareness. Singh, giving special emphasis on lifestyle, gave the example of Japan. People in Japan have the longest average age, the happiest, the most successful, as they focus on their lifestyle.
