BHOPAL: The video of a solo tabla recital by 10-year-old Aseem Allahwale from the city has so far drawn around 10 lakh views and likes on Facebook. He presented 200-year-old bandishes of eminent tabla players of different gharanas of the country in his performance. The roughly one-hour-long performance by Aseem was streamed live on the FB page of Baldev Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Chhattisgarh on June 5. Since then the video of the performance has been viewed 3.6 lakh times and has received 6 lakh likes. Around 1200 users have commented on the performance. Aseem a student of Class 5 comes from a family of musicians. In his performance Aseem played the bandishes of accomplished tabla players of the Dilli Ajrada Farrukhabad Benaras Punjab and Lucknow gharanas. They included Haji Ameer Mohd Khan Ustad Farid Husain Ustad Daddu Khan Ustad Zakir Husain and Ustad Salim Allahwale. In 2017 Aseem had performed at the Bharat Bhavan with his guru Salim Allahwale.
