Bhopal Lokesh Jangid may be suspended the government waiting for a reply to notice

BHOPAL: The administration is mulling over suspending IAS officer Lokesh Kumar Jangid who has courted controversies after being shifted from Barwani.†A notice was issued to Jangid two days ago after he had made the principal secretaryís audio tape viral. He has been asked to reply to the notice within two days. The statement of Medical Education Minister Vishwash Sarang made it clear that the government is preparing to take action against Jangid. Being an IAS officer he should not have behaved in that shameful manner he said adding that Jangidís records are not up to the mark. According to sources in the police department Jangid has not provided any evidence to justify that he had received any threatening calls.

He has been asked to reply to the notice within two days. Once he replies to the notice he may be suspended. The statement of Medical Education Minister Vishwash Sarang made it clear that the government is preparing to take action against Jangid. Sarang told media persons that Jangid had always violated professional ethics. The IAS Association has also pulled up Jngid for his misconduct. There should be a proper platform to raise an issue; besides Jangid is not able to prove that threatening calls were issued to him Sarang said. Being an IAS officer he should not have behaved in that shameful manner he said adding that Jangidís records are not up to the mark. After Jangid had informed the director general of police about the threatening calls he has not been provided with any security but the police have begun an inquiry into the matter. According to sources in the police department Jangid has not provided any evidence to justify that he had received any threatening calls. Jangid also made allegations about purchase of oxygen concentrators in Barwani. The government sought evidence to prove his allegations.
