55-yr-old dies after bus hits scooter, drags him along

Bhopal: A speeding college bus allegedly hit a scooter-borne 55-year-old man at Jyoti Square in MP Nagar area on Wednesday morning. Investigation officer ASI Azeem Sher Khan said that the deceased Jay Singh Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indira Nagar in Mandideep, took contracts of electrical work. He was going from MP Nagar Zone-2 towards Zone-1 by his scooter on Wednesday morning around 8.30 am when a speedingcollege bus coming from Board Office side rammed into his scooter.The errant bus driver sped the vehicle thereby dragging him and his vehicle for a few metres. Local shopkeepers present near the spot took him out and MP Nagar police rushed him to a hospital where he was declared dead within a few minutes.
