BHOPAL: At least three legislators in Madhya Pradesh seem to have cross-voted in favour of NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind during the Presidential elections held on Monday. "Congress party's 56 MLAs voted for Meira Kumar," state PCC chief spokesman KK Mishra told TOI. The Presidential election results saw Ram Nath Kovind receive171 votes from the state, four more than the previously calculated 167.The BJP has 165 votes including that of Speaker Sitasharan Sharma and two independents had announced they would vote for Ram Nath Kovind. By this arithmetic, Meira Kumar should have polled 60 votes from MP but got only 57. The value of each vote from Madhya Pradesh is 131 and Meira Kumar polled a voting value of 7467 from the state while Kovind received a value of 22,401 votes.
