This is the sixth edition of competition. The notification issued by the NLIU management on Sunday said that an international conference on intellectual property rights law and policy, which was to be organized from November 26, has been also cancelled.Students told TOI that the director, Prof S S Singh, has "arbitrarily held an entire tournament hostage to secure his despotic reign". "This is a blatant attempt to coerce students into calling off our peaceful protest. The director is in control of the rest of the money," said protesting students.Students vowed to ensure that there isn't a break in the annual competition. "The tournament will take place as per schedule outside the NLIU premises and without the affiliation of the university, due to the commendable efforts of the NLIU Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell (ADRC)," said a group of students.Students also said that the association with Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution Team (PACT) continues to stand with ADRC.
