BIJEPUR: A civil society group on Wednesday filed a petition with chief electoral officer (CEO) Surendra Kumar, accusing the BJD candidate for the Bijepur bypoll Rita Sahu , of filing a false affidavit with the Election Commission of India.Quoting documents obtained under the Right to Information Act, the Sachetana Nagarik Mancha, a Bhubaneswar-based organisation, wrote to the CEO stating that Rita gave false information regarding her educational qualifications in the poll affidavit submitted with her nomination papers on February 5.In her affidavit, Rita has mentioned that she passed her high school certificate examination from Purunabasti MPL High School in Jharsuguda in 1986.
