Odisha police to promote e-offices in headquarters, ranges, districts

BHUBANESWAR: In a major revamp initiative, the state police have deiced to go for e-offices not only in police headquarters but also in ranges and districts. The director general of police Rajendra Prasad Sharma on Tuesday said on the sidelines of 60th senior police officers’ conference here. “I have asked the officers to start the process of digitizing the hard copies of documents. The process will start from police headquarters office at Cuttack. E-office is expected to reduce around 80 per cent of paper works among the police rank and file.
