BHUBANESWAR: BJP president Amit Shah will come here on one-day visit on July 1, making his eighth Odisha tour in past four years after the Narendra Modi government took over at the Centre.Chasing his party’s ambition to dislodge the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government in Odisha in 2019, when Naveen Patnaik will seek fifth term in a row, Shah will take stock of party’s organisational works and hold series of closed door meetings, party insiders said.“The party president will review works assigned to the state unit for our Mission 120+,” senior BJP leader Prithviraj Harichandan said.Mission 120+ is an initiative announced by Shah to win at least 120 of the 147 Assembly seats in the state. BJP currently has 10 members, Congress 15 and BJD 118 in the current Odisha Vidhan Sabha while the rest two belong to other parties.Shah, who addressed public meetings in Kalahanadi and Balangir districts three months ago on April 4 and 5, will have series of closed doors meetings with party leaders and cadres besides intellectuals during his forthcoming visit.Shah is coming to the state barely a month after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 26, his fourth anniversary as PM, addressed a public rally at the historic Baliyatra Ground.
