ENIGMA OF (JAY`S) EXIT !

So, the assumptions about a preparedness by Panda to fight the menaces of political hurdles and spring a surprise on July 1, appeared to be an overrated possibility to overcome the veils of political uncertainties. Better late than never but one should allow time when people refuse the political narratives                                                                                                                                                                              BY-  D N Singh

So much of water has gone down the drain since the of the ex-BJD MP Baijayant Jay Panda parted his ways leaving the political fulcrum of his career in politics swinging heavily but,  never stationary at any point. First, he left BJD on the ground of self-respect or `swabhiman`. A ground that did earn him a very shortlived sympathy from some but could not last longer as expected by him, politically.

He bought, in between, a lot of time leaving a guessing game hot through interviews in national channels and in his own channel also. His rhetorics were mostly repetitive and hovering around untold options before him which now seem slowly paling. But what is significant in politics is to remain somehow relevant. For which he tries desperately.

So he, in his own right, wanted to claw to a level of relevance through the next step i.e. resignation from the Lok Sabha. He was again right. But before that he met the Lok Sabha speaker in person over the same and as customary in such circumstances, the Speaker advised taking a cool decision.

Subsequently, he reportedly faxed his letter of resignation with enclosures over his discomfiture with the BJD leadership, was perhaps not required to be enclosed. Why did he do that is best known to him. But a Lok sabha speaker cannot help him to walk any extra mile over that issue.

Interestingly, the two parties such as the BJP and the Congress who initially had shown sideline sympathy for him, are now tight-lipped on the issue of joining in either of the two.

So, the assumptions about a preparedness by Panda to fight the menaces of political hurdles and spring a surprise on July 1, appeared to be an overrated possibility to overcome the veils of political uncertainties. Better late than never but one should allow time when people refuse to buy the narratives.
