Baijayant on Tuesday met Mahajan (for the second time after July 5) and requested her to accept his resignation, which he has already tweeted.Earlier, BJD parliamentary party leader Bhartruhari Mahtab, in a letter to Mahajan, had requested to accept Baijayant’s resignation. Spoke & asked questions on issues of Odisha (for which i was electd) but also on many nat'l & int'l topics -Championed many ideas via Pvt Members Bills, incl Privacy/Data Protection & Transgender rights,” he tweeted.The former MP is, however, yet to reveal his next course of action.With Baijayant’s resignation, BJD’s strength in the Lok Sabha has been reduced to 19.
