Odisha government requests Kerala to provide food to floodaffected Odia people

The affected Odia people have been working there in a plywood company, said a source.Amid reports that several Odia people are trapped in different parts of the flood-ravaged state, the Odisha government also opened a helpline number 1070 (tollfree) and 0674-2534177 at the SRC office to coordinate help for the people.The SRC said any affected person from Odisha or his/her relatives can contact the numbers seeking help.Earlier, the state government announced Rs 5 crore assistance for relief and restoration works in Kerala.Chief minister Naveen Patnaik also assured all helps to his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan to tackle the situation.
