The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine-die on Thursday after adopting a privilege motion against one Abhijit Iyer Mitra who allegedly made derogatory remarks on the Sun Temple in Konark. Finance Minister S B Behera also tabled the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year ended March, 2017 on General and Social Sector Government of Odisha. The issue of block grant teachers of 1,500 colleges and 4,000 schools also prominently figured in the House over which the members created a noisy protest.
