Cyclone Titli: Indigo cancels 5 flights at Bhubaneswar airport

BHUBANESWAR: With Met forecasting wind speed of 80-100 kmph in Bhubaneswar due to Titli forming into a very severe cyclone, the Indigo airlines on Wednesday cancelled five flights for Thursday. The incoming flights from these destinations have also been cancelled, airport director Suresh Hota said. More flight may be cancelled depending on weather condition,” said an airport officer.The cancelled flights include two for Delhi, one each for Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The Met has said that Titli will landfall between 5.30 and 6 am on Thursday near Gopalpur in Ganjam district.All the five flights are both outgoing and incoming. They won’t remain parked at night on Wednesday here at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Wednesday.Airport sources said since there will be storm and rain in Bhubaneswar as well, the flights have been cancelled.
