BHUBANESWAR: Major parks in the city are decked up with beautiful signage. Use of colourful lights on the signage makes the surrounding of the parks attractive. The signage are installed in seven city parks.The way findings in the parks refer to the systems that are employed to help tourists and visitors orient their position and get to their desired location. The art works installed in the parks look classy,” said Murali Patnaik of Unit-9. It gives information regarding the amenities and facilities available in the parks.

The signage are installed in seven city parks.The way findings in the parks refer to the systems that are employed to help tourists and visitors orient their position and get to their desired location. “Once properly implemented, the signage will help the tourists determine their location, designate the route and confirmation of arrival at the desired destination once it has been reached,” said an officer of the Bhubaneswar development authority (BDA).The way finding plan implemented in Bhubaneswar city parks aims to make the parks of the city easily navigable within and provide information to connect the parks to the cultural assets all around.The map signage informs the visitors of all significant points of interest such as attractions, toilets, drinking water and pathways. Entry signage will indicate entrances for both abled and specially-abled persons.A comprehensive caution signage at each of the gate of the parks with dos and don’ts for the park premises is also added.The signage system also highlights hidden attractions such as the fountain and boat at Biju Patnaik Park, the amphitheater at Buddha Jayanti Park and many more spots previously scarcely visited by the people.“The parks look attractive in the evening due to the lighting and colourful signage. The lawns and pathways are cleaned and decorated with designed trees. The art works installed in the parks look classy,” said Murali Patnaik of Unit-9.
