I was kept out of deliberations and discussions in the organisation,” Majhi mentioned in the letter.He said the visit by party functionaries to his parliamentary constituency were either not intimated or informed at the last moments because of which he could not attend many meetings.As Majhi had resigned from government job to join the BJD ahead of the 2014 general elections; he said he felt cheated. “I had sacrificed about seven years of service and resigned from my post for public service. Now I presume I am no more required in the party,” Majhi pointed out.Despite resigning from the party; the Nabarangpur MP called Naveen a great politician and clarified that he has no grudge against the party president. “I am sure some people have misled you,” Majhi said adding Naveen will always remain as an inspiration for him.The Nabarangpur MP reportedly upset with party’s decision to field Jharigam MLA and state cabinet minister Ramesh Majhi in his place in forthcoming polls.Nabarangpur is one among the four Lok Sabha seats in Odisha going to polls in the first phase on April 11. Notification for the polls will be issued on March 18 while nomination filing process would go on till March 25.Asked about his next move; Majhi said he will take a call soon after consultations with his voters.In his resignation letter; Majhi had mentioned his achievements on different aspects during his stint and thanked the chief minister for his support."The state can't be a silent spectator. This is not a movie that you (police, probe agencies) come after everything is over. And if you (politicians) can't protect your people, then do not contest elections," the bench said.The bench also directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), probing the 2013 killing of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar, to "tie-up all loose ends" in its investigation without further delay.The CBI submitted before the HC on Thursday that while the shooters in the Dabholkar case were traced, arrested and the charge sheet was filed, it required some time to probe some additional issues, like arms and weapons used by the accused.Pansare was shot at on February 16, 2015, in Kolhapur and succumbed to his injuries a few days later on February 20.Dabholkar was shot dead on August 20, 2013, in Pune while on his morning walk.The CBI and the state CID are probing the killings of Dabholkar and Pansare, respectively.The high court has been hearing a plea filed by the family members of Dabholkar and Pansare seeking a court-monitored probe in both the cases.
