Mercury touches 426degC in Malkangiri

Bhubaneswaar: Mercury touched 42.6°C in Malkangiri on Saturday as the state reeled under a heatwave-like situation. The IMD forecast said similar rise in mercury will continue in the state, mostly interior pockets, for the next three to four days. There are chances of rain or thundershower activities in coastal pockets from Sunday. The temperature is so far the highest of the season. The day temperature at eight more places hovered close to 40°C or above.

The IMD forecast said similar rise in mercury will continue in the state, mostly interior pockets, for the next three to four days.
