Navodaya Alumni Association of Odisha organised awareness program on ban on single use plastics

Bhubaneswar: A walkathon cum awareness program on ban on single use plastics was organised in Bhubaneswar, by Navodaya Alumni Association of Odisha ( NAAO) on 18.01.2020 as a part of their initiative to give back to the society. It began from Sahidnagar Durga mandap with participation of approximately 200 enthusiastic members comprising of Jnv Alumni, college & school students, local persons and members of civic bodies. Later an awareness program was organised at Lower PMG. Skating program by Utkal unicorn group was one of the main attraction of the program. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by general Secretary Mr Pradipta Baliarsingh.

It was a long march to Lower PMG through Ram Mandir Square drawing attention of the common people. Later an awareness program was organised at Lower PMG. Skating program by Utkal unicorn group was one of the main attraction of the program. The walkathon was flagged off by Chief Guest Mr Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra, Principal chief safety officer, East Coast Railway and was succeeded by Mr Dilip Bisoi , senior journalist & Ms Linkan Subudhi, social activist as special guests respectively. Eco-friendly jute bags were distributed among the people in exchange of the 10 number of polythene carry bags as an encouragement not to use single use plastic materials which was well appreciated by the participants. The organising team was led by Dr Pradyut Pradhan, President and very well planned and arranged by Premeet team volunteers: Gyana Mallick, Rimpal Patel, Ashabhanu Swain, Nilachala Mohapatra, Bikash Kumar Digal, Gulsan Bag, Punyotosh Mund, Tapan Pattanaik, Santanu Sia, Rajkumar, Rajkishore, Sampad, Santanu Sahu, Ved Prakash, Sitaram, Omprakash etc. All the distinguished guests asked everyone to commit to the cause and be a soldier in the fight against plastic menaces. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by general Secretary Mr Pradipta Baliarsingh. Related Comments comments
