India’s First 'Fire Park' in Bhubaneswar

Fire Park is a novel initiative in the entire country to bring awareness about fire safety measures. Demonstrations on use of First Aid Fire-fighting Equipment, and rescue and disaster operations.

On Tuesday,  Naveen Patnaik the Chief Minister of Odisha inaugurated India’s First ‘Fire Park’. One of its kind, the Park is equipped with Fire safety gadgets and types of equipment.

Fire Park is a novel initiative in the entire country to bring awareness about fire safety measures. Demonstrations on use of First Aid Fire-fighting Equipment, and rescue and disaster operations, visit the exhibition hall, screening of films and distribution of leaflets on fire safety would be parts of the activities. Students from schools and colleges would be the focus group.

The Chief Minister said it would improve awareness on basic fire safety measures among the people, particularly students.

Located in the premises of Odisha Fire & Disaster Academy, it would be opened to the public every Saturday from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Along with the Fire Park, Patnaik also announced the launch of AgnishamaSeva’, an app for the Odisha Fire Service.
