Puri (Odisha): Tourists From These 5 States Will Need A Negative Covid-19 Report To Enter Jagannath Puri

The district administration of Puri district in Odisha on Tuesday has made a negative corona report mandatory for tourists arriving from five states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Punjab and Kerala to the coastal city in view of the fast-growing cases of Covid-19 in the state.

Puri District Magistrate Samarth Verma said that this condition has been imposed for people coming from five states (Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Kerala). Along with this, he told that if people coming from these states have a certificate of taking two doses of the vaccine, then that too will be accepted.

Odisha recorded 588 fresh cases on Tuesday taking the toll of total cases to 43,856. According to the information, the Puri district administration decided in a review meeting that the people arriving in this pilgrimage town would have to show the RT-PCR negative report at the railway station and bus stands.
