Door-to-door Covid Survey, Free Edu to children in Covid hit families: Odisha CM

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called a virtual all-party meeting on Monday to discuss the alarming Covid-19 situation in the state. He took some important decisions in this important meeting and asked for the collective contribution to fight Coronavirus.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called a virtual all-party meeting on Monday to discuss the alarming Covid-19 situation in the state. He took some important decisions in this important meeting and asked for the collective contribution to fight Coronavirus.

Odisha government will provide free education under Madhubabu Pension Scheme to children whose parents have lost their lives due to Covid-19.

A scheme to provide relief to the widows through pension has also been prepared. The Chief Minister has said that the village sarpanch will continue to have the same powers as the District Magistrate in their jurisdiction, they can also impose a lockdown. A strategy to control the spread of Covid-19 in villages has also been prepared with the efforts of the Village Welfare Committee.

CM Patnaik has announced a Covid-19 door-to-door survey for 3 months. People who have mild symptoms of coronavirus will also be monitored. Asha workers and Anganwadi workers will be involved in this mission. This survey will be launched on May 24.

Covid-19 testing and treatment will be done free of cost in the state. The government will also keep an eye on private hospitals. A plan has also been prepared to admit seriously ill patients to the hospital immediately. In this meeting, CM said that emphasis is being laid on increasing the number of health workers.
