Bhubaneswar: Odisha records 11498 cases of Covid-19, 25 fatalities

Khurda District, which includes capital Bhubaneswar, received the highest 1457 new cases, followed by 1107 in Cuttack, 867 in Angul, 703 in Sundergarh and 524 in Balasore

Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in Odisha as the cases are surging at an uncontrollable speed in the state. Odisha recorded 11498 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, while 25 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last same time.

The total caseload of the state has reached 6,55,899, while the active cases tally has been pushed to 1,06,812.

The cumulative death toll has reached 2403 after 25 deaths were reported in the state on Wednesday.

While on Wednesday, 10,036 patients were cured of the disease, taking the total number of recovered patients to 5,46,631. So far, more than 1.11 crore tests have been administered for Covid-19 in the state, including 60,598 in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is 5.9 %.
