Ancient temples dating back to the 6th century discovered by INTACH near Odisha's Puri

The remains of an ancient temple dating back to the 6th to 7th centuries have been discovered in Puri district by a survey team of the Odisha unit of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). A four-member team of INTACH documented the ancient site located in Biropurushottampur area of ​​Pipli area, 40 km north of Puri city. In a press release, Project Coordinator Anil Dhir said the team discovered the remains during a detailed survey of the Ratnchira Valley and its monuments.

According to INTACH, similar to the Prachi river, the mythical river Ratnachira is also about to become extinct.

According to the press release, the 1,400-year-old temple located near the Gateshwar temple is known as Swapneshwar Mahadev. This temple was not included in the documents till now.
