Video of children constructing road in Odisha's Bahdrak goes viral, Administration calls it 'voluntary work'

A video from the Bhadrak district of Odisha has gone viral on social media. In Bhadrak`s Baghmara village, some small children are seen repairing a rough road here. Taking cognizance of the video in this case, the BDO has ordered an inquiry. Apart from this, the officials have been asked to get the road repair work done.

These children are barely five-six years old. Children up to the age of 14 have a constitutional right to education.

Although it is being told that these children are voluntarily working to build the road, but the truth is yet to be known. After the matter came to light, there has been a stir in the district administration.

In this video 5-6 children are collecting stones, bricks from nearby and bringing them by cycle and making it level by laying them on the ground. There is no one here except the child. After the matter came to light, BDO Manoj Behera told that the information is being verified. He said, if the information is found to be true, strict action will be taken against the guilty officials.
