Along with the players, people are also congratulating Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who not only brought the country`s national sport out of its phase of failure, but also supported it in every way for its encouragement.

India`s men`s and women`s hockey teams have reached the semi-finals at the Tokyo Olympics. Everyone is celebrating this historic moment in their own way. Along with the players, people are also congratulating Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who not only brought the country`s national sport out of its phase of failure, but also supported it in every way for its encouragement.

Odisha is the official sponsor of both the Indian women`s and men`s hockey team.
After Sunday`s match, a video of Naveen Patnaik also surfaced in which he sat in front of the TV set and watched the 60-minute adventure patiently. Then as soon as the team won, like every countryman, he stood up and started clapping and congratulating.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted on the victory of the hockey team and wrote, "Well played! Congratulate Indian Men’s Hockey team on registering a stunning victory in the quarter-final against Great Britain at Tokyo Olympics. May the team continue its momentum & bring much awaited medal for the country. Wish the team all the best."

The Government of Odisha has been associated with India`s national hockey team (both men`s-female, junior-senior both) since 2018 as the official sponsor National Team sponsor. They took this initiative to bring back the glory of Indian hockey and with this success in the Tokyo Olympics, this initiative seems to be successful to a great extent.
