BHUBANESWAR: As part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle by the state government on Friday, nine districts got new collectors. Notably, it was the first major reshuffle among the IAS officers level after the panchayat elections, in which the ruling BJD had failed to perform better in several western and northern districts.According to a notification issued by the general administration department, project director (PD) of district rural development agency (DRDA), Kalahandi Vineet Bhardwaj has been posted as new collector, Sundargarh. Existing Sundargarh collector B S Poonia will be new collector, Dhenkanal. Bargarh collector Anjan Kumar Manik was transferred as collector, Kalahandi in place of Brundha D, who has been posted as new collector, Kandhamal Reghu G, who is currently serving as collector Kandhamal was moved to politically-sensitive Kendrapada as it new collector. Nabarangapur PD DRDA, Poma Tudu is posted as new collector, Nuapada in place of Sadique Alam, who got a new assignment as chief executive officer of the Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha. Similarly, Sundargarh PD, DRDA Surendra Kumar Meena would head the Mayurbhanj district while Rajesh Pravakar Patil was transferred as officer of special duty of the Odisha Skill Development Authority.High profile Khurda district that includes the state capital got Roopa Roshan Sahoo as its new collector. She is currently serving as collector, Dhenkanal. Niranjan Sahu, who is currently posted as Khurda collector, has been moved as director, industries with additional charge of MD, Orissa Small Industries Corporation Limited. D N Pandhi is appointed as secretary, Odisha State Information Commision.Senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer Khagendra Kumar Padhi is transferred as Bargarh collector. Keonjhar PD, DRDA Nikhil Pawan Kalyan is posted as commissioner, Berhampur Municipal Corporation, Mayurbhanj PD, DRDA Shuvam Saxena is transferred as vice-chairman of Cuttack Development Authority.PD, DRDA of Koraput Madhusmita Sahu is the new managing director (MD) of Orissa Agro Industries Corporation Limited with additional charge of MD, Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation. Among others, Khurda PD, DRDA Manish Agarwal and Sanjay Kumar V, who was on leave are transferred as deputy secretaries in state home and water resources department respectively.
