8 Express, 24 local trains to be cancelled for railway work

Bhubaneswar New station will be the satellite station of Bhubaneswar station. Because of this safety related work, the ECoR will cancel eight express trains and 24 local passenger trains and short terminate a train between June 15 and 23, official sources said.The ECoR will cancel eight express trains like Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Express from June 16 to 23, Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi Express from June 15 to 22, Digha-Visakhapatnam Express on June 16 and 23, Visakhapatnam-Digha on June 15 and 22, Visakhapatnam-Paradeep Express on June 18, Paradeep-Visakhapatnam Express on June 21, Paradeep-Santragachhi Express on June 19 and Santragachhi-Paradeep Express on June 20.Similarly, it will cancel 16 local passenger train between June 15 and 22 and eight such trains between June 16 and 23. After completion of the doubling between Chudangagarh and Barang stations and third line between Bhubaneswar New and Mancheswar stations, the new station will be ready for public by July. Bilaspur-Titilagarh passenger train will run between Bilaspur and Sambalpur and will remain cancelled between Sambalpur and Titilagarh from both the directions from June 15 to 22, ECoR sources said.The modernization work is connected with the opening of Bhubaneswar New station on the outskirts of the city.
