Odisha PPP cell implements 73 projects

It was also decided to create a research unit-cum-data bank to identify innovative projects and to assist different departments in preparation of pre-feasibility reports as well as project reports.Available data show, so far 73 projects have been grounded in the state and more 10 projects are in pipeline. The projects are grounded in health, education, urban development, road, transport, tourism sectors.The PPP cell has also institutionalized a qualitative monitoring framework and improved contract award and management process, said the statement.Some of the ongoing PPP projects include Sambalpur-Rourkela road, flyover at Joda, Bisoi-Rairangpur road, bulk water supply project for IIT, NISER, green field hospital and health care network project in the city and specialty cardiac care centre in Jharsuguda. BHUBANESWAR: The state public private partnership ( PPP ) cell under the administrative control of the planning and convergence department has so far grounded 73 projects in Odisha.It was revealed during a high level meeting headed by planning and convergence minister Usha Devi here at the state secretariat.Chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi , who was also present in the meeting, advised the PPP cell to focus on mobilization of more private sector funds for development of infrastructure and service delivery projects, said an official statement issued by the chief secretary's office.The meeting discussed ways to bring in large investments through PPP mode in sectors like multimodal transport, tourism, solid waste management, road and health.
