In a fresh case of alleged involvement with the deadly online Blue Whale Challenge game, a 17-year-old student of a Industrial Training Institute (ITI) has been admitted to hospital with injuries.

In a fresh case of alleged involvement with the deadly online Blue Whale Challenge game, a 17-year-old student of a Industrial Training Institute (ITI) has been admitted to hospital with injuries.

Acting on a tip-off, the Odisha police force has got the 17-year-old student admitted to hospital after receiving information of from the principal that the boy had been behaving abnormally. The youth, who hailed from Jaleswar area in Balasore district, was staying in a private accommodation. Some of his friends observing sudden changes in his behaviour for a couple of days and informed the principal about it.

The Blue Whale game has been claiming the lives of several teenagers all over the world and has recently entered India. The 50-day internet challenge has already pushed several teenagers and young children into committing suicide, and the government of India has also issued an advisory on how parents can identify the game and protect their children from the game.
