World Bank delegation lauds Odisha government's effort in poverty reduction

BHUBANESWAR: A World Bank WB ) delegation led by its country director Junaid Ahmad met chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday to discuss about future collaborations between the state government and West Bengal The delegation lauded the state government's effort poverty reduction and significant improvement in reducing infant mortality rate, said an official statement by the chief minister's office.The World Bank official expressed to extend more aid to the state government on health, livelihood mission, women empowerment and infrastructure development.According to sources, a five-year action plan for financial aid and technical assistance to the state government by the World Bank was finalized in the meeting.
