Odisha likely to receive rainfall on Monday

Rainfall is likely to increase in Odisha from October 18, the MeT centre said. A low pressure area was formed over the Central Bay of Bengal on Sunday and under its impact Odisha may have rain and thundershower in some places on Monday. The low pressure area was formed under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation, the meteorological centre here said. Associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level tilting Southwestwards with height, it said. Under its impact rain and thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in Odisha districts during the next 24 hours.
