Calls Sanjay Tandon a ‘liar’, seeks public apology from him Chandigarh, January 13 Former Union Minister Harmohan Dhawan today said Chandigarh BJP president Sanjay Tandon is speaking white lie by saying the former was not being invited by the national executive and sought a public apology from Tandon. Dhawan said he is the member of the national executive for the past three years and was being invited since then. He further claimed that he has the invite even for the meeting held on September 25, 2017, in Delhi. The former BJP MP, in a press statement said: “...But, this is true that you have not invited me in any of the local programme or even in core meetings as a local president.” “You have no right to remove me from the national body. This right rests with the national party president,” he said. Dhawan also refuted the statement of Tandon that the former had a verbal duel with a senior party leader in a meeting at Surajkund in Faridabad. He alleged that Tandon has tarnished the image of Kirron Kher, Satya Pal Jain and his. The party president had earlier said that Dhawan was stopped from being invited by the national executive for his conduct against the party. Thus, he was also not being invited even in Chandigarh executive. The local BJP is marred with factionalism with Municipal Corporation councillors divided in two factions, one owing allegiance to Tandon and other to MP Kirron Kher. Dhawan and Jain too support Kher.
