BK Goel, member of State Commission for protection of child rights, Haryana, highlighted that every six minutes, a child gets stolen and two children get sexually abused per six hours in the country. Chandigarh, February 6Over 2,000 runners from across the globe will participate in the third edition of the Punjab Half Marathon, which aims to promote the cause of ‘Child Friendly Chandigarh’. “Our main objective is to motivate a maximum number of people to run and adopt a healthier lifestyle,” PC Kushwaha, founder, Thrill Zone Trust, told reporters here today.

Chandigarh, February 6 Over 2,000 runners from across the globe will participate in the third edition of the Punjab Half Marathon, which aims to promote the cause of ‘Child Friendly Chandigarh’. The event is scheduled to be held on February 11 The event will witness the participation of international and national runners, the organisers — Thrill Zone Trust — said here today. “Our main objective is to motivate a maximum number of people to run and adopt a healthier lifestyle,” PC Kushwaha, founder, Thrill Zone Trust, told reporters here today. The event is divided into three categories --- 21km half-marathon and 10km and 5km run. The marathon will commence from the Chandigarh Club at 6am and will cross Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Kishangarh and IT Park before culminating at the starting point.
