67-yr-old woman loses gold bangles to con women

Our CorrespondentZirakpur, May 18Two unidentified women robbed an elderly woman of her gold ornaments on the pretext of giving her a lift in their car. They threw the elderly woman out of the car and sped away. The unsuspecting woman sat in the car. They accused took her to the Zirakpur-Patiala stretch and allegedly robbed of her two gold bangles. They claimed to be her neighbours and offered to drop her home in their car.

Our Correspondent Zirakpur, May 18 Two unidentified women robbed an elderly woman of her gold ornaments on the pretext of giving her a lift in their car. In her complaint to the police, Darshan Kaur (67), a resident of Zirakpur, alleged that on May 16, she was returning from a nearby gurdwara at around 12 noon when two women approached her. They claimed to be her neighbours and offered to drop her home in their car. The unsuspecting woman sat in the car. They accused took her to the Zirakpur-Patiala stretch and allegedly robbed of her two gold bangles. They threw the elderly woman out of the car and sped away. A case has been registered at the Zirakpur police station.
