The family of the deceased has alleged the murder by the workers of a liquor contractor. They have alleged murder by workers of a liquor contractor." He further added, "The family and villagers held a protest at Patran Chowk after the post-mortem had been conducted.

Patiala, June 21 The Patiala police have registered a murder case on Wednesday against some unidentified workers of a liquor contractor for killing a 25-year-old in the city. The body of the deceased, Sukhwinder, was recovered from the Bhakra canal. The family of the deceased has alleged the murder by the workers of a liquor contractor. Darshan Singh, SHO Shatrana, said: "As per the family, the man had left home on June 14. On June 16, the family registered a complaint of missing person. Later, the body of the man was found from Bhakra canal." He further added, "The family and villagers held a protest at Patran Chowk after the post-mortem had been conducted. They have alleged murder by workers of a liquor contractor." The police have registered a case under Sections 302, 341 and 34 of the IPC. —TNS
