Deadline for installing solar plants extended

As many as 32 NGOs have installed rooftop solar plants at their buildings. For buildings that are 3,000 square yards or more in size, a 3 kwp solar plant is a must.CREST has so far received a luke warm: solar plants have been installed in only 167 houses and in 14 commercial buildings. CHANDIGARH: The UT administration has extended the deadline for installing solar photovoltaic rooftop power plant Chandigarh Renewal Energy , Science and Technology Promotion Society ( CREST ) in 2016 had set May 6, 2018, as the deadline for installing solar plants at residential and industrial buildings, which now has been extended to November 17.For buildings measuring between 500 square yards and 999 square yards, installing SPV of 1 kwp capacity has been made mandatory, while owners of building measuring between 1,000 square yards and 2,999 square yards have to install a solar power plant of 2 kwp.
