CHANDIGARH: Two money lenders and their woman friend brutally stabbed a 29-year-old man, living next door to death in Balaji colony of Kaithal city during late night hours of Saturday.The incident was consequent to alleged immoral acts of money lenders identified as Surender Singh and Hariom Singh who would often used to bring a woman to their rented accommodation. Vikram was their next door neighbour. He and his family would oppose their act.Surender and Hari Om and the woman not only stabbed Vikram, the victim but also attacked his father Mai Ram. Mai Ram is the eyewitness. A murder case has been registered at Civil Lines police station.Vikram is survived by wife and two children.According to information, Vikram and his family were the caretakers of the house wherein Surender and Hariom had occupied the first floor. The duo used the premises as office cum residence of their finance company.Mai Ram told police, following the request of neighbours and locals, they had been objecting to the immoral acts of the two.On Saturday night, Surender and Hariom had brought one woman to their place. It was at around 11pm the family heard the noise a woman coming from that house after hich Vikram went upstairs.He had an argument and they all started stabbing him. "As I followed Vikram I saw Hari Om and Surender were stabbing him. When I tried to stop, the three attacked me and the woman too stabbed in the back," he told police.Police said that Mai ram ran towards the street for help. By the time residents could assemble and rush, the accused men and woman managed to escape from the spot, leaving Vikram lifeless in the pool of blood.Vikram was declared brought dead in the hospital while Mai Ram was admitted with injuries. Dharam Pal Singh, SHO of Civil lines police station said that Vikram’s body has been handed over to family after the autopsy."Preliminary investigation revealed that Vikram was stabbed in the head, neck and the chest. The stab wounds in neck proved fatal for him. Rest we are waiting for the medico legal report of his father," Inspector Dharam Pal Singh, the SHO said.
