Common garbage plant proposed for Tricity

CHANDIGARH: Tricity civic bodies have suggested a common garbage processing plant for Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, which at the moment have their own arrangements of lifting and disposing of waste.The proposal was made at a meeting organised by Second Innings Association, a body of senior citizens, on Sunday and attended by municipal commissioners of the Tricity.Chandigarh municipal commissioner K K Yadav said garbage of the entire Tricity can be processed at the plant that can be run by a private company.
