Boarding school incident: INSO stages protest

The INSO demanded the arrest of the accused within 24 hours, else "they would stage a protest sitting outside the concerned school".The protest was held under the leadership of the INLD Haryana state spokesperson Vivek Chaudhary Lalana. AMBALA: The Ambala district unit of Indian National Student Organisation INSO ), a student political wing of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), on Tuesday staged a protest outside the Ambala deputy commissioner (DC) office and handed over a memorandum of demands addressed to Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar to Ambala city magistrate Sushil Kumar, in the absence of the DC.The protest was against the inaction of the police and the district administration in the cases of bad touches and sexual abuse by a warden of a boarding school in Ambala. The members raised anti-government slogans while demanding the quick proceedings into the cases of rapes, sexual abuse and rising crime graph of the state.In the memorandum of demand, the INSO mentioned that the state has witnessed a rise in the crime against the women and in cases of sexual abuses while the state government has completely failed in controlling these serious crimes.
