C'garh: Capt Abhimanyu starts Ayushman Yojana

AMBALA: Haryana finance minister Captain Abhimanyu on Sunday launched the Ayushman Yojana from Ambala Cantonment to facilitate the poor families with free medical facilities in the state. In the state, 72 Ayushman Centers have been established and 284 Ayushman Friends have been posted at these centers for better execution of this scheme. The state-level function is being organised at Karnal where chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and health minister Anil Vij are starting this scheme. Civil surgeon Dr Ashok Sharma said that under the scheme ‘Ayushman Bharat’ selected families will be facilitated with free medical facilities up to Rs 5 lakh for one year. Apart from this 22 nodal officers and 22 Information Technology managers have also been posted at the district level in the state.”In the function additional deputy commissioner Captain Shakti Singh, joint commissioner Municipal Corporation Satinder Siwatch, Civil Surgeon Ashok Kumar and other senior officials of the district administration were present.

Along with the government hospital, this facility will also be provided at the private hospitals which are kept in the panel.“The scheme ‘Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’ will benefit 80 lakh members of 15.5 lakh families in Haryana and it will be completely paperless, cashless and digital scheme,” said Abhimanyu.The minister also distributed the Golden E-Cards to five beneficiaries of this scheme and inaugurated the Inquiry Counter developed at the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment. The live coverage of the function of Prime Minister starting the same scheme in Ranchi, Jharkhand was also shown to the gathering.Countrywide, this scheme will benefit 50 crore members of 11 crore families and the beneficiary can avail the free services up to Rs 5 lakh under this scheme anywhere in the entire country at the government and the listed hospitals with the panel.The minister said that “In Ambala, 507 people have been issued these Golden E-Cards; so far the department has generated the data of 37,000 from the urban area and 26,000 from the rural area of the district and nearly 20,000 more people will be added to this scheme.
