CHANDIGARH: Former Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari on Tuesday said that BJP has played dirty politics during its four-year tenure and country’s credibility has witnessed a sharp decline at international level due to the internal and external policies of the Modi government.Tewari made the statement while addressing a public rally on theme "Clean Politics" organised to mark the Gandhi Jayanti in Bapu Dham Colony, in Chandigarh on Tuesday.Tewari said the BJP led union government has given nothing to this country except Notebandi, jumlewazi and unemployment in the last four years. Before coming to power, the BJP had misled general public on the name of implementing the Swaminathan Commission report, but even this promise has also been proved a phrase, Tewari added.Chandigarh that is called "The City Beautiful" has been trailing almost 4 years behind many other cities on the name of development in last four years, said Tewari while appealing the gathering to support and promote clean politics in Chandigarh. Alleging hypocrisy in the name of sanitation by the BJP, the former union minister and senior Congress leader said that clean politics is need of the hour.The BJP has not only shattered Mahatma Gandhi’s dreams for a 'Clean India', but also eliminated the slogan 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' given by former Pm late Lal Bahadur Shastri , he said.During the last four years, Pakistan has been going down constantly killing our brave troops and the Indian government has failed miserably to avenge the martyrdom of the soldiers.
