'Record' rly ticket checking earnings in Ambala

Ambala is one of the largest divisions of the Northern Railway. AMBALA: The Ambala railway division posted a record ticket checking earnings of Rs 29 lakh in November this year while carrying out a drive against ticketless travel.Senior divisional commercial manager Praveen Gaur Dwivedi said that on November 9, the division recorded the highest ever ticket checking earnings of Rs 29,00,320 in a single day from 5472 passengers traveling without or improper tickets.Dwivedi urged the passengers to travel with the proper tickets in order to avoid any inconveniences.
