PANCHKULA: Four customers at a popular bar in Sector 8, Panchkula , created a ruckus after getting drunk on Tuesday night. They brutally assaulted a bar worker with empty beer bottle on his head.The police said Virender Singh alias Badal, 25, a resident of Kansal, Mohali , complained to the cops that four persons entered the bar on Tuesday night and ordered beer and food. Within a couple of minutes, they created a ruckus in a drunken state and started dancing and disturbed other people in the bar.He alleged that he stopped them from creating a ruckus and requested them to behave normally, but despite listening, they started abusing him. One of the accused slapped him while the other picked up an empty beer bottle and attacked him on his head, injuring Virender.When the other staff members interfered, the accused fled from the spot after threatening the victim of dire consequences in the future.The staff members rushed the victim to the civil hospital, Sector 6, where doctors prepared a medical report mentioning surgeon opinion and CT scan for the victim.A case has been registered at the Sector 5 police station against the four unknown persons.Sub-inspector Mohan Lal, in charge of the Sector 7 police post, said: “We are examining the CCTV footage received from the bar.”
