The police, however, recovered an agreement which was signed between the factory’s owner Varinder Malik and two Sirsa-based men Bikram Khanna and Pankaj Kumar.

The factory was detected by a team of Excise department on Wednesday during a surprise raid and recovered huge quantity of chemicals. The police, however, recovered an agreement which was signed between the factory’s owner Varinder Malik and two Sirsa-based men Bikram Khanna and Pankaj Kumar. Bikram Khanna and Pankaj Kumar had taken the factory on lease and were paying a rent of Rs 75,000 per month. A police party went to Sirsa on Friday to trace the accused Bikram Khanna and Pankaj Kumar but they were unsuccessful. The police officials said that they would be able to find that how the factory was being run after the arrest of the accused. Meanwhile, a family living near the premises of the factory told Chandigarh Newsline that they did not see any men working in the factory in the day time. Attri Devi, who lives near the factory said that she used to meet a woman who was working in the factory. She told me that they manufacture washing powder in the factory, but we did not see any vehicle movement during the day time,” she said. Attri Devi’s nephew Ajay said that the workers who used to work in the factory did not speak to anyone. He added that the factory had huge cemented sheds which were installed around an year ago. The sheds covered the view that what was going on inside the premises,” he added. Sohrab, another person who works as a juice vendor and lives near the factory premises said that he saw one truck few days ago which was going out of the factory during the night and it was covered.
