PANCHKULA: As many as 15 silver coins and Rs 12,000 were stolen from a house in Raipur Rani on Sunday night. Sandeep Aggarwal said he had gone to attend a function with his family around 5 pm.When he returned, he found the lock of his house and silver coins and cash missing. Police registered a case under Sections 380 (theft in dwelling house) and 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code Meanwhile. a crime branch team of Panchkula on Monday arrested two persons for snatching a mobile phone.The accused have been identified as Sameer, a resident of Dhakoli, Zirakpur; Vishnu, a native of Uttarakhand who has been living in Sector 20, Panchkula.Both had snatched a mobile phone in an area under Sector 5 police station. The accused were traced with the help of CCTV footage.A police official, said, "The accused could be involved in more snatching cases. We are further probing the case."
