They soon started arguing, and within minutes, started punching each other. Later, the youths called up their friends and more youths arrived in jeeps and cars. He said they called up police and a PCR vehicle took the youths to a police station.On the other hand, the police officials said they did not receive any complaint. MOHALI: A brawl broke out between two groups of youths in Phase 3B2 market on Thursday night.The incident took place around 9.30 pm, when the youths were allegedly consuming liquor in their vehicles.

They soon started arguing, and within minutes, started punching each other. The drama lasted for an hour, with people not intervening. Finally, police was informed and a PCR (police control room) patrolling party arrived and controlled the situation.A bystander recorded the fight from his mobile phone camera. In the video, the youths could seen abusing and hitting each other.A shopkeeper in the market said a few youths were drinking in their vehicles and later started abusing each other, leading to the brawl. Later, the youths called up their friends and more youths arrived in jeeps and cars. He said they called up police and a PCR vehicle took the youths to a police station.On the other hand, the police officials said they did not receive any complaint. Mataur station house officer Daljeet Singh said as he is on leave, he is not aware of the matter.Jaswinder Singh, president, Phase 3B2 Market Association in Mohali , said, “Drinking in open and fights are routine here in the market. This disturbs peace here and now people have started fearing to come here with families.“Youths can be seen drinking and teasing girls every day. Families have stopped visiting the market. “We have taken up the matter with the authorities, but to no avail.”
