These students are asking very basic questions like format of letters or essays and other topics that come under the writing section of the exam. Not only students, but parents are also equally anxious for their child. According to Jasjit Kaur, a science teacher, students from science stream have been sending unsolved numerical and equations on WhatsApp number of the helpline. “We have been solving them for their convenience. Not only students, but parents are also equally anxious for their child. We have been receiving calls from parents asking us about time and stress management,” added Kaur.According to Sangeeta Chhabra, a lecturer of English, “Helplines are very busy these days and students have been asking us to explain whole chapters over the phone. A student even asked me to explain a chapter, which has been removed from the syllabus.” As far as selecting math as an elective subject is concerned, another expert mentioned: “Students who were not regular in the class are facing more problem than others. They do not have enough time to prepare, let alone revise the whole syllabus.”According to Neenu Rajwanshi, a lecturer of chemistry, “We are receiving a lot of calls from Bihar and Meerut. These students are asking very basic questions like format of letters or essays and other topics that come under the writing section of the exam. They ask about things that can be done at the last moment just so they can pass the exam.”When asked about the general pattern of the paper, she said, “It must be noted that the number of multiple choice questions have gone up, so it is easier to score better. We are receiving more calls from those who are preparing at the last moment and are, subsequently, more anxious as well as nervous.”It is not only science and math, but complaints regarding languages have also gone up. Kamlesh Pathania, a lecturer of Hindi, says, “For language, we are giving them simple grammar tips.”
