Medicinal and fruit trees will be planted at open spaces in the bus stand,” he said.

LACK OF CLEANLINESS Panchkula, June 26 The project director of Ek Aur Sudhar Programme, Rocky Mittal, raided the bus terminal in the city and pulled up its management for unhygienic conditions around the terminal. The scheme was launched by the Haryana Chief Minister. Mittal, who went around the bus terminal, directed the management to remove congress grass within a week. He said the government did not want Uttar Pradesh like conditions in the state. “I am visiting each and every town in the state to inspect government and other institutions for cleanliness,” said Mittal. He also found one of the washrooms at the bus stand building non-functional and directed officials concerned to make it functional. “The management should ensure cleanliness in washrooms as thousands of commuters visit the terminal daily,” added Mittal. “I will visit the bus stand after one week. Tree plantation campaign will be launched on the same day. Medicinal and fruit trees will be planted at open spaces in the bus stand,” he said. Mittal also visited a police chowki where he found a policeman resting. “I will soon submit my report to the Chief Minister and continue surprise checking at other offices of the state government to ensure cleanliness,” he added.
